Privacy Policy
Plain language. No tricks. Last updated 9 May 2026.
The short version
We try to collect as little information as possible. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. If you sign up for our launch list, we use your email only to tell you when new tools go live — nothing else.
What we collect, and why
1. Email addresses (only if you opt in)
If you enter your email on our homepage to be notified about new tools, we store it through Netlify Forms (our website host). We use it for one purpose only: a short email when a new tool launches. You can ask us to remove your address at any time by emailing chipo21jan@gmail.com.
2. Homework questions you submit
When you use the Parent Homework Helper, the question you paste in is sent to a Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to a Cloudflare Workers AI model for processing. We do not store the question. We do not log it. Once the explanation comes back, the original question is forgotten.
3. Basic visit information
Like most websites, our hosts (Netlify and Cloudflare) automatically log basic technical information when your browser loads a page — things like your IP address, the page you visited, and your browser type. This is used for security, performance, and basic traffic statistics. We do not sell or share this information.
4. Advertising (in future)
Toolie may display ads from Google AdSense. When ads are running, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads. You can also visit aboutads.info to learn more about cookie-based advertising and how to opt out.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't share your email with anyone. We don't use your homework questions to train AI models. We don't have a "data partners" network. We're a small operation trying to make useful tools — that's it.
Children and parents
The Parent Homework Helper is designed to be used by parents on behalf of their children. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children directly. If you're a parent and you're concerned a child has submitted personal information through one of our tools, email us at chipo21jan@gmail.com and we'll help you sort it out.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa, and similar laws across the SADC region, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Email chipo21jan@gmail.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. For substantial changes, we'll mention it on the homepage or in our launch email so you actually see it.
